Svekon and MBDA team on Nordic air defence concept

The new agreement combines Swedish engineering and MBDA expertise to support regional air defence capabilities

Svekon has announced the signing of a strategic contract with MBDA to develop a new Ground-Based Air Defence (GBAD) concept tailored to the operational requirements of the Nordic region.

The agreement marks a significant milestone for both companies and reflects growing demand for advanced, resilient and interoperable air defence systems across Northern Europe, the company said in a press release.
